Watching our boys give back to an organization that helped us during our journey is something that makes us tremendously proud.

The Swim Across the Sound is especially meaningful to our family. Nearly four years ago, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. As we navigated one of the most difficult times in our lives, Swim Across the Sound was there to help support our family. Because of the generosity of others, we experienced firsthand the compassion,
resources, and assistance this organization provides to local cancer patients and their loved ones. Receiving these funds lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. Not having to work during my treatment made a world of difference in my recovery.
This year, my sons, Luca and Giancarlo, took part in the Swim Across the Sound as swimmers and team captains of Rapids Strength and Rapids Courage. Together, they raised more than $14,000 to support cancer patients and their families.
Today, I am incredibly grateful to be approaching four years cancer free. Watching our boys give back to an organization that helped us during our journey is something
that makes us tremendously proud.
Every year, Swim Across the Sound raises funds and awareness to provide vital programs and services to local cancer patients and their families. Best of all, 100% of the funds raised go directly to helping those in our community who are facing cancer and focusing on their healing. Swim Across the Sound is truly amazing, so giving, and genuinely helps cancer patients during and after treatment in so many ways.
We are excited at this opportunity to give back to an organization that helped us.
