Over the past 38 years, a simple challenge taken on by five Boston College graduates—swimming across the Sound to raise $5,000—has evolved into a major annual tradition. Today, the Swim Marathon attracts over 200 swimmers and 100 boaters each year, generating hundreds of thousands of dollars for a great cause.

This remarkable Swim Marathon can take anywhere from 5.5 to over 10 hours to complete. It’s an inspiring test of endurance and dedication, all in support of an incredible mission to provide financial and emotional support to cancer patients while they are in treatment!
