Stronger Together
Annual Campaigns
Our colleague giving campaign will focus on helping our patients, our neighbors, and our teammates.
Oncology patients need more Swim Across the Sound financial assistance, our neighbors are struggling with access to medical care, and our teammates rely on the Colleague Assistance Fund during a time of hardship. To meet the extraordinary need of our neighbors, patients, and colleagues, we’re going to need an extraordinary response from our team. At St. Vincent’s Medical Center, we truly are “Stronger Together.” Here is our chance to answer this call for help. Thank you for considering to support those in need.

Colleague Assistance Fund
Coworkers have supported each other financially for a long time here at St. Vincent’s. In 2021, the health system adopted St. Vincent’s approach to helping each other and so began a system-wide approach through the Colleague Assistance Fund. If you want to help a teammate, gifts to this fund are the best way to do it.

Swim Across the Sound Patient Assistance
For over 38 years the Swim has been meeting the financial need of local oncology patients. All too often economic hardship comes hand-in-hand with a cancer diagnosis. Swim Patient Assistance funds help these patients and their families make ends meet during their treatments by offsetting the cost of things like wigs or transportation to treatment that insurance doesn’t cover or by paying rent, utilities, or other bills so they can focus on their health.

Hartford HealthCare Medical Mission
Hartford HealthCare Medical Mission supports hundreds of individuals in our community by providing them with medical exams, vaccinations, foot washing, haircuts, food, free coats, shoes, reading glasses, pharmaceuticals and personal medical devices, just to name a few. The HHC Medical Mission event is held one day each November in Bridgeport with additional hospitals within the Hartford Healthcare system adopting this event making it a statewide initiative. Gifts to this fund help expand healthcare access to our most vulnerable populations.
